FOKISMechanicalisseekingaskilledandexperienced Special Project Combo Plumber /Pipefittertojoinourteamwithinthemechanicalindustry.
Theidealcandidatewillberesponsiblefortheinstallation,maintenance,andrepairofpipingsystems,plumbing fixtures,andassociatedmechanicalequipmentincommercial,orindustrialprojects.
Thisrolerequiresstrongtechnicalknowledge,adherencetosafetystandards,andtheabilitytointerpretmechanicaldrawingsandspecifications.
Thisisahands-onfieldpositionforanexperiencedtradespersonwhocantakeownershipofassignedprojectsfromstarttofinish.
Our Special Projectsteamhandlesrenovations ,equipment replacements,piping modifications,shutdowns,tenant improvements,
- Managethefieldexecutionofassignedprojectsfromstartthroughcompletion.
- Reviewprojectscope,drawings,specifications,schedules,andexistingconditions.
- Performfieldtakeoffsanddeterminerequiredmaterials,tools,equipment,and manpower.
- Coordinatematerialorderingandensurematerialsareavailablebeforeworkbegins.
- Plandailyandweeklyworktomaintainprojectschedulesandlaborexpectations.
- Install,modify,repair,andreplacecommercialmechanicalpipingandplumbingsystems.
- Workwithchilledwater,condenser water,heatinghotwater,domestic water,sanitarywasteandvent,naturalgas,andothermechanical/plumbing systems.
- Installcarbonsteel,copper,PVC/CPVC,castiron,andotherpipingsystems.
- Perform grooved/Victaulic,Pro Press,threaded,soldered/brazed,andweldedpipinginstallationsasqualified.
- Install valves,pumps,coils,strainers,equipment connections,supports,andrelatedcomponents.
- Coordinate shutdowns,tie-ins,equipment replacements,andothercriticalprojectactivities.
- Communicatefieldconditions,scheduling concerns,additional work,andpotentialchange-orderitemstoprojectmanagement.
- Maintainaccuratedailyreports,timecards,material documentation,andrequiredprojectrecords.
- Complete testing,startup assistance,punch-listwork,cleanup,andprojectcloseout.
- Maintainaclean,safe,andprofessionalworkenvironment.
- Journeyman-levelexperienceasaplumber,pipefitter,and/orwelderrequired.
- 5+yearsofcommercialorindustrialexperiencepreferred.
- Strongknowledgeofcommercialmechanicalpipingandplumbingsystems.
- Abilitytoreadandinterpretmechanical/plumbingdrawingsandspecifications.
- Abilitytoindependentlylayoutpipinganddeterminefittings,elevations,routing,andsupportrequirements.
- Experiencewithrenovations,equipment replacements,shutdowns,andpipingmodifications.
- Groovedpipingand Pro Pressexperiencepreferred .
- Weldingexperienceandapplicablecertificationsareaplus.
- Strong troubleshooting,planning,communication,leadership,and problem-solving skills.
- Experienceworkinginoccupiedorsensitivefacilities,particularlyhealthcareenvironments,preferred.
- Valid driver'slicenseandreliabletransportationrequired.
- Mustprovidebasichandtoolsrequiredforthetrade.
- OSHA
10orOSHA
30certificationpreferred. - Mustsuccessfullycompleterequiredbackgroundchecksanddrugscreenings.

Theidealcandidateisdependable,organized,self-motivated,andcomfortableworkingindependentlyorleadingasmallcrew.
Special Projectsworkrequiresflexibility.
Candidatesmustbewillingtomovebetweenprojectsandworknightsandweekendswhenprojectschedules,shutdowns,orcustomerneedsrequireit.
