Pipe Welder Pipe Fitter

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Welder to join our plumbing and mechanical team in NYC. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with pipe welding, fabrication, and installation of commercial plumbing, heating, and HVAC piping systems.

We are looking for someone who can work independently, read blueprints, and produce high-quality welds while following safety standards. We require AWS welding certifications or applicable NYC welding qualifications.

Responsibilities include:

· Perform welding on commercial plumbing, heating, fire sprinkler, and HVAC piping systems.

· Weld carbon steel and stainless steel piping using appropriate welding techniques.

· Perform SMAW (Stick) welding as required.

· Cut, fit, assemble, and fabricate piping and metal components.

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.

· Install and repair welded piping, fittings, and mechanical equipment connections.

· Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and defects.

· Troubleshoot and repair damaged piping and welded connections.

· Operate welding equipment, grinders, cutting torches, and fabrication tools.

· Follow OSHA regulations, fire safety procedures, and NYC job site requirements.

· Work with plumbing and HVAC mechanics on commercial projects.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
