Overview
The Staten Island Justice Center (SIJC) offers a range of programs for youth and adults in Staten Island, focusing on individuals with current or past justice involvement. The Center’s Alternatives to Incarceration programming provides community sentencing options, aiming to reduce future court contact and promote swift case resolutions.
Reporting to the Clinical Coordinator, the Case Manager will handle monitoring and case management of program participants, refer them to social service interventions, and ensure compliance with pre‑plea and post‑plea conditions.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive case management services to a caseload of short‑ and long‑term mandated clients.
- Manage a caseload of over 40 ATI participants, ensuring consistent engagement and progress tracking.
- Coordinate and facilitate scheduling of community service appointments.
- Provide voluntary service referrals to address substance use, mental health, trauma, domestic violence, housing, and vocational needs.
- Maintain client and group information in electronic databases and hard files.
- Monitor and report on compliance to court stakeholders, working with defense and district attorneys to bring participants into compliance.
- Participate in individual and group supervision, department staff meetings, interdisciplinary meetings, and trainings.
- Assist with administrative duties, including data management, grant reporting, and compliance monitoring.
- Assist with Justice Center intakes and assessments as needed.
- Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and after‑hours events.
- Support the Director with policy, program, and intervention development.
• Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 3‑4 years of experience in a social service setting.
• Experience in a court or criminal justice setting strongly preferred.
• Bilingual (English–Spanish) preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work strengths‑based with diverse clients and stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
Position DetailsType: Full time, Monday‑Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Location: Staten Island, New York
Compensation: $52,000 – $65,400 (commensurate with experience)
