Description

Qualifications- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field.
- Experience working with a diverse population, including an understanding of the trauma of homelessness compounded with mental health issues.
- Strong working knowledge of resource and benefit programs.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and supervisory skills and the ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to work with staff from other organizations.
- Directly supervise Bachelor level Supportive Housing Specialist including monitoring productivity, quality of services and professional development.
- Assess needs of target population and develop responsive services considering diverse factors such as physical and mental health, culture, ethnicity, gender, and lifestyle.
- Provide direct case management services to tenants in caseload; supervisor will carry high‑risk or more challenging cases in the building.
- Develop safety plans for residents and work with the team to deescalate clients and manage crises collaboratively as they arise.
- Develop community linkages and refer residents to appropriate community providers to address their needs.
- Advocate with social service agencies to ensure entitlements are secured and maintained.
- Work collaboratively with fellow staff and mental‑health collaterals as deemed beneficial.
- Ensure all tenants in the assigned building(s) receive the most appropriate services.
- Participate in tenant selection committee as requested.
- Use and facilitate staff’s use of the agency’s documentation database (AWARDs).
- Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations and standards.
- Maintain exceptional relationships and communication with Hudson Guild and Clinton Housing programs/employees.
- Prepare and submit various reports as requested.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, staff training, and community meetings.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
