Case Manager, Domestic Violence Shelter - Orchid
Summary: Domestic Violence Shelter programs offer a comprehensive range of services including counseling, advocacy, intervention, and support to meet the needs of victims and their families.
Responsibilities- Learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client‑centered approach, using an anti‑oppressive lens, into your work with clients.
- Conduct intakes and assessments with potential residents.
- Work with residents to formulate and maintain relevant, meaningful case plans.
- Develop and maintain case records that document services provided to residents.
- Provide concrete case management and current, effective resources to residents.
- Advocate on behalf of residents with city agencies and other service providers.
- Meet regularly with residents to ensure the family is on track with case plans.
- Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and other meetings as needed.
- Facilitate or co‑facilitate support groups as needed.
- Build service partnerships with related community‑based organizations.
- Assist in the daily operations of the work site.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in human service or a related field or equivalent experience and training.
- Good oral and written communication and computer skills are necessary.
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, and sexual abuse is required.
Applicants may be responsible for providing the equipment and tools they need to work remotely as required.
Hiring Range: $23.36 - $24.50 Hourly
