New Alternatives for Children, Inc. (NAC) is a leading child welfare and social services agency dedicated to supporting families in which at least one member has a disability and/or chronic medical condition. Children and families enter NAC's programs through the city's foster care and preventive services systems, or via community referral. All clients have access to a comprehensive range of services, including medical care, therapies, educational advocacy, housing assistance, recreational and cultural opportunities, and intensive coaching.

NAC is seeking an Access, Thrive, Include (ATI) Coach to join its Futures program. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and brings creativity, persistence, and problem-solving skills to a collaborative and mission-driven team.     • Bachelor's Level: $50,000-$55,000
    • Master's Level: $60,000-$65,000

Responsibilities
  • Provide long-term coaching to adolescents and young adults (ages 14-21+) with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
  • Support youth in developing academic, career, and independent living skills.
  • Guide participants toward graduation, post-secondary education, and career pathways.
  • Help prevent long-term or repeat involvement in the child welfare system.
  • Foster independence and promote successful transitions to adulthood.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and service providers to ensure holistic support.
  • Employ creative problem-solving and strengths-based approaches in coaching.
  • Document progress and outcomes to align with program goals.
Qualifications And Requirements
  • Passion for working with adolescents with disabilities, particularly intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
  • Experience in youth development, social work, education, counseling, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to build trusting, supportive relationships with adolescents and families.
  • Knowledge of child welfare, disability services, or related systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
