Location: New York
Case Manager I – Social Worker, Nassau County Family Court – Drug Treatment part.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessments of defendants for participation in court‑monitored substance abuse treatment.
- Submit detailed recommendations regarding defendants’ eligibility to participate in treatment.
- Refer and place defendants in community‑based treatment programs.
- Monitor defendants’ participation in community‑based treatment programs.
- Provide detailed updates to Court and parties regarding treatment participation.
- Conduct court‑mandated drug testing.
- Travel may be required.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of satisfactory full‑time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards.
- Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee (CASAC‑T) and two (2) years of satisfactory full‑time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
