About the roleThe Anti‑Human Trafficking (AHT) Case Manager will provide trauma‑informed case management support to a caseload of survivors of human trafficking at Covenant House New York (CHNY)’s Bronx housing programs, aftercare community clients, as well as possibly the 41st Crisis Shelter. The AHT Case Manager will be responsible for providing psychosocial services including but not limited to: screening, outreach, risk/psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, supportive counseling and psychoeducation.
The AHT Case Manager will participate in the implementation of evidence‑based practices including Motivational Interviewing and Safe Crisis Management. They will be responsible for co‑facilitating psycho educational groups with survivors, as well as preventive groups to youth in CHNY’s general programming. The Bronx/Community AHT Case Manager will be responsible for inputting data into AHT internal and external online databases.
(Responsibilities to include but not limited to the following)
- Provide dedicated, trauma‑informed case management and therapeutic support to survivors of human trafficking at CHNY’s Bronx programs as well as to survivors (former CHNY youth) residing in the community.
- Engage at least weekly with clients residing in CHNY Bronx programs to provide support in working towards their ISP goals developed with their residential program assigned Case Manager.
- Administer human trafficking assessments.
- Participate in weekly team case reviews and bi‑weekly case conferences.
- Co‑facilitate with other members of the mental health and AHT team workshops, psychoeducation groups, and community outreach efforts.
- Effectively document relevant data in ETO and assist in utilizing data to evaluate programs.
- Escort youth to off‑site appointments and services when needed.
- Assist with program audit and review preparation.
- Research and keep current external referral services.
- Work collaboratively with both internal and external service providers.
- Participate in all required training, supervision and staff meetings.
- Participate in training and coaching activities for all evidence‑based models, and utilize these models as appropriate.

- Perform other duties as assigned and needed.
This position does not supervise any other position.
Qualifications- One (1) year experience in a residential setting and working with adolescents preferred.
- Experience working with survivors of human trafficking and/or at‑risk youth strongly preferred.
- Strong interest/passion for working with homeless and runaway youth.
