Oversee program implementation of Fair Futures and Life Set which promotes Youth Development amongst youth in foster care placement. Supporting team members in the delivery of service related to education, career, post-secondary, and coaching options for youth in Enhanced Family Foster Care.

Hours: 35 Hours/Week;
Exempt
Salary Range: 75k-83k
Major Duties:
- Provide weekly supervision for staff.
- Recruit, hire and evaluate team members.
- Participate in all trainings, workshops and learning collaboratives related to Fair Futures and Youth Villages Life Set.
- Model and build trusting relationships with Coaches, including sharing effective engagement strategies.
- Assist Coaches in navigating the DOE, Housing, and other systems as needed;
- Assist Coaches in preventing and navigating crisis as the arise
- Guide staff to use Motivational Interviewing Techniques to develop and follow action plans and trauma informed techniques with young people;
- Provide professional development opportunities such as attending trainings, identifying areas for growth, celebrating and acknowledging strengths and progress;
- Efficient communication with program staff which promotes a cohesive and collaborative environment to promote a positive working relationship between staff and team members
- Responsible for data collection to support private funding related to youth programming and for collaboration with agency grant writers to complete proposals or reports for private grants.
- Assist Life Set specialists in locating community resources for referrals of services to participants that GSS does not provide directly
- Attend, engage, and prepare necessary documentation for all meetings organized by Youth Villages.
- Ensure record keeping which meets the guidelines of the different databases:
Guide Tree and Care4 - Ensure record keeping that meets all Administration for Children Services (ACS) standards as per PAMS Scorecard, case record review, and COA standards.
- Regularly review and optimize usage of data for case practice including ACS/OCFS data, Department of Education data, and internal Good Shepherd Services data.
- Collaborate, coordinate and conduct trainings with Specialists for foster parents, birth parents, and youth.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (i.e. Fair Futures, ACS Office of Education Support and Policy Planning, schools, DOE staff, community-based partners, etc.)
- Participate in various internal clinical and/or planning meetings (i.e. Family Team Conferences, Education Round tables, Team Treatment meetings, and Red Flag meetings).
- Advocate on behalf of individual students at school meetings, Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, clinical meetings and other external meetings.
- Represent Good Shepherd Services and the needs of GSS children and youth at community meetings such as the ACS Education Forum, College Choice, and other working groups.
- Promote and model the seven Sanctuary Model commitments to create a non-violent and trauma-sensitive culture
- Integrate the Sanctuary Model SELF (Safety, Emotional Management, Loss and Future) framework into daily practice to ensure quality care and an effective work environment.
- Utilize and model Sanctuary Model principals in casework, supervision, and group practice.
- Review Documentation in connections, Care4, and Guide Tree to ensure permanency planning, safety and well-being is addressed and reflected in action plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master of Social Work or Master’s Degree in a related field Required
- Minimum of three years’ experience in child welfare required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years proven experience as a supervisor in a similar/related capacity required.
- Knowledge of adolescent development.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills necessary.
