Acces-VR Community Based Worker

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

Flexible Hours Average of 4 to 12 hours a week. Varies

The Access‑VR Community Based Worker, through the Access VR Work Experience, will obtain real work experience for up to a total of 320 hours. This position is only open to Access‑VR referrals.

The work experience will occur in a community setting. Responsibilities will be dependent on tasks assigned in the community placement. Workers will have the opportunity to network in business environments consistent with their employment goal. The Worker will engage with their assigned Vocational Counselor and work together to set up the work experience, facilitate monitoring their progress, and make the arrangements for completion of required paperwork with the employer to receive up to 320 hours of paid work experience.

• Worker will receive support from their Vocational Counselor.

• Must be an Access‑VR referral.

• Must have Access‑VR Work Development and Community Work Experience referrals.

• Must be capable to sit or stand in front of a computer for long periods of time.
• Must be capable to move throughout work day and follow people served throughout community.
• Work alongside co-workers within 3 feet.

• Occasional lifting of > 25 pounds.
