Engagesthecommunitytofacilitateopencommunication,solve problems,andpromotepartnershipbetweentheshelteranditsneighbors.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicatesanddocumentsallprogramactivities,incidents,issuesandotherrelevantinformationinacomplete,professionalandtimelymanner. Readsalllogsbooks,emailsandincidentreportsatthestartofshift. Updatesalllogbooksthroughoutshiftandbeforeendingshiftassignment. Completesandsubmitsincidentreportsastheyoccur. Completesshiftsummaryreportbeforeendingshiftassignment. Receives,acknowledgesreceiptofanddocumentsallcomplaints/concernsexpressedbyneighborsorothercommunitymembers. Attendsandparticipatesinregularstaffmeetingsandcommunitymeetingsasassigned. Enforcesshelterrulesuniformlyandconsistently. Respondsappropriatelytoneedsandcrisissituations,suchasmediatingbasicinterpersonalproblemsbetweenresidentsandsummoningemergencypersonnel. Facilitates the Good Neighbor Policyorientationforeachnewresident . Facilitates and/orparticipatesina

Good Neighbor Focusgroupwithresidentsfocusingonneighborhoodconcernsandtogeneratingideasforpositivecommunityparticipation . Developsandcoordinatescommunityengagementactivitiesforshelterresidents. Participatesinongoingindividualsupervision,team meetings,case conferences,divisionmeetingsandtrainingsasappropriateandassigned. Assists Shift Supervisorswithfiredrillsandbuildingevacuationsduringemergenciesandprovidesclientwithfiresafetyandpreventioninformationasneeded . MaintainsCPR/First Aid Certification  Remainson-dutyuntilproperlyrelieved. WearsS:

USbrandedclothingwhileconductingneighborhoodwalksandwhenservingasashelterrepresentativeinthecommunity. Worksaschedulethatincludessomeweekendandeveninghours. Performsotherdutiesrelatedtotheprogramasassignedbythe Shift Supervisor ,Facility Manage rand/orProgram

Director. Complies with all SUS Employee Policies, Procedures, and Protocols. Workingknowledgeofvariouscomputersoftwareprogramsincludingemail,Microsoft Word,Excel,and PowerPoint. Eveningandweekendhoursmayberequired. Performsotherdutiesasassigned.

REQUIREMENTSREQUIREDEDUCATIONANDEXPERIENCE High School Diploma required . 2yearsofexperienceinalargeresidentialsettingisrequired.

Stronginterpersonalandcommunicationskillsrequired.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS&SKILLS Associates Degree preferred. English/Spanishspeakingpreferred
