Java Developer - Front Office

Our client, a major bank in New York City, is looking for a hands‑on Java Developer for the front office. The role is hybrid (2–3 days in the office, remainder at home) and lasts 6–12 months with the possibility of extension or a hiring option. Must be authorized to work for any US employer – no H-1 visa support.

Rate: $95–103 per hour on W2, and possible C2C.

• 100% hands‑on front office Java developer (Python experience is a plus) with a solid understanding of backend and front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript; Vue.js experience is a plus).
• Good understanding of equities and equity derivatives products and trading workflows (including FIX protocol).
• Experience developing trading platforms such as Order Management Systems, Stock‑Loan systems, market‑data systems, etc.
• Experience working on trading desks, collaborating with traders, quants, and risk‑management teams.
• Experience with pricing strategies, quantitative modeling (preferably volatility) and P&L calculations is a plus.
• Experience with Quod (OMS) and/or Murex is a plus.
• Strong background in the financial industry, with excellent education and/or experience.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business users, multitask, and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
• Highly organized and eager to learn and grow.

• Minimum 10 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
