Software Engineering Lead – Build Systems, Compilers, and Languages

At Eng Flow, we help developers save time by accelerating software builds and tests. Our cloud‑based, distributed service optimizes developer workflows through remote execution and caching, improving efficiency, productivity, and product quality.

• Report to the Head of Product Engineering.
• Lead projects, manage a growing team, and contribute directly to product and platform engineering.
• Potential transition from individual contributor to team manager over time.

• Leadership
  
  Experience:
  
  Proven experience managing and influencing technical teams.
• Optimization Passion:
  Deep interest in compilers, programming languages, and build systems such as Bazel, CMake, Maven, Gradle, Nix, or Buck.
• Dev Ops & Dev Infra
  
  Experience:
  
  Linux/Unix, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, Open Shift, Oracle Cloud), Terraform.
• Technical Proficiency:
  Java; proficiency in C++ and Rust is a plus.
• Asynchronous Programming:
  Experience with scalable software architectures.
• Software at Scale:
  Proven experience delivering software at scale with operational excellence.
• Conflict Resolution & Communication:
  Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• On‑Call Rotation:
  Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation to handle escalated production issues.
