The Opportunity

Good Inside is seeking a Contract Senior Software Engineer, Mobile for an expected 6‑month engagement to deliver our AI‑powered recommendations project. This project‑focused contract role is responsible for delivering specific mobile features, with the Engineering Manager serving as the main point of contact for alignment on deliverables.

As part of this engagement, you’ll collaborate with product, ML, and backend teams as needed to implement AI‑driven personalization in our mobile app. With deep expertise in mobile engineering – both native and Flutter – and an eye for detail and polished design, you’ll help shape how users experience intelligent, personalized features.

What You’ll Own

• Implementation of AI‑powered recommendations project
• Collaborate as needed with backend and ML engineers
• Develop clean, maintainable, and well documented Flutter code aligned with the defined project scope.
• Provide clear documentation of architectural decisions, implementation details, and handoff materials upon project completion.
• Provide input on feature scope and sequencing to support timely and successful delivery of the defined project deliverables.

Your Skills And Experience

• 5+ years of experience in native mobile development
• 2–3 years of experience in Flutter and Dart
• Deep understanding of modern mobile development for both Android and iOS
• Proficiency and active experience in backend development in any form
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong collaboration abilities and cross‑functional relationship‑building
• Self‑starter with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to stay organized and deliver results in a fast‑paced, changing environment
• Passion for Good Inside’s mission and excitement about improving the lives of parents and children

Preferred Experience

• Startup growth experience – helping scale a high‑growth company from early stages
• User‑facing mobile app experience – especially for products driving engagement and retention
• Cross‑functional marketing and product collaboration experience

What We Offer

• Rate: $100/hour, 1099 Contract
• Hours:
  
  Approximately 40 hours per week (preference for 9 AM – 5 PM ET)
• Duration: 6 months (potential extension based on project needs)

  NYC preferred but open to remote
