Software Engineer Go Kubernetes Cloud Elasticsearch

Join Elastic, the Search AI Company, as a Software Engineer on the Platform Control Plane team! You'll help evolve and operate our control plane services (Self-Managed, Hosted, and Serverless) and accelerate our adoption of Kubernetes. Our distributed services orchestrate the Elastic Cloud, enabling users to build and expand Elastic Clusters. We use Docker, Kubernetes, Go, and custom orchestration architectures, running on multiple cloud platforms.

As part of our team, you'll code, design, debug, and prioritize security, bug fixes, and features. You'll analyze and improve our systems, participate in on-call rotations, and address operational events. We're a diverse, globally distributed team that values creativity and resourcefulness.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and evolve codebases powering our Elastic Cloud offerings.
• Operate systems via on-call rotation and address customer support requests.
• Proactively improve service security, stability, and reliability.
• Design, build, and maintain software supporting cloud offerings and on-premise service networking.
• Debug production issues involving virtualization, containers, and microservices.
• Collaborate with a distributed team and across teams to solve problems, craft features, and deliver projects.
• Diagnose customer problems with Support engineers.

Requirements:

• Software engineering experience with high-quality code delivery.
• Go (golang) programming experience.
• Hands‑on experience with a major Cloud Service Provider (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Passion for automation and quality.
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem‑solving skills.
