Role: Founding Software Engineer
Employment Type: Full-time
Location: On-site — New York City, NY (Williamsburg)
Compensation: $150k – $200k base + 0.5%–1.5% equity

About the RoleJoin an early-stage AI startup building multimodal AI agents to automate complex claims operations. The team focuses on creating highly efficient, production-ready systems that streamline claims workflows for enterprise customers. You will ship code, design APIs, and work closely with clients to solve real-world problems.
What You Will Do- Build voice AI systems and document agent workflows handling millions of claims.
- Develop production-ready Type Script/Python/Go code that processes real claims.
- Design APIs, data models, and integrations with claims management systems.
- Work directly with customers to understand workflows and remove operational friction.
- Translate complex business workflows into elegant, scalable technical systems.
- Participate in architecture, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP, Docker).
- 3+ years shipping production systems in Type Script, Python, or Go
. - Backend expertise: REST, databases (Postgre
SQL, vector DBs), cloud systems, Docker. - Strong problem-solving skills and a hunger to learn in ambiguous, early-stage environments
. - Ability to model complex business domains and make high-IQ trade-off decisions.
- Bonus experience: voice AI (Twilio, Vapi, Live Kit, SIP), LLM agents, RAG pipelines, document processing, semantic search, Supabase, NextJS, Vercel.
- Base salary: $150k – $200k
- Equity: 0.5%–1.5%
