Senior Back-End Engineer – AI & Optimization

We’re looking for a senior engineer with experience building algorithms and backend systems with for AI, ML, optimization, or recommendation engines.

We’re looking for someone excited to join a Series A startup and have immediate impact. We have product ideas that will help drivers, carriers, and merchants. We need help bringing those ideas to market.

• Design and implement recommendation algorithm from the ground up, leveraging proprietary data and external partners
• Build AI-powered features for our existing payments platform and mobile application
• Develop robust backend services on GCP and Kubernetes
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers through design review and project supervision
• Design and build the systems that make you most productive

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Experience building and scaling data-intensive systems or AI/ML infrastructure
• Strong background in data science, machine learning, or optimization algorithms
• Experience delivering incremental value in a rapidly evolving environment. Comfortable with ambiguity and changing requirements
• Proficiency with Go, Postgres, and scalable infrastructure (Kubernetes, GCP preferred)
• Experience working in early-stage startups
• Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, or Data Science
• Legally qualified to work in the US
