Responsibilities- OS Package Development:
Port, update, and package in-house and third‑party software for compatibility with the latest Ubuntu LTS release - Testing & QA:
Design and execute functional and compatibility tests for all new OS packages - Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve complex packaging and integration issues, including system‑level failures - CI/CD Integration:
Modify existing build and release pipelines to support new OS packages without disrupting production - Collaboration:
Work with SRE and platform teams to integrate configuration management changes and resolve dependencies
- Linux Expertise: 7+ years working with Linux systems (Ubuntu/Debian preferred)
- OS Packaging:
Hands‑on experience creating and troubleshooting .deb or .rpm packages - Polyglot Packaging:
Experience packaging PHP libraries/extensions and Golang applications - CI/CD:
Strong knowledge of CI/CD frameworks and ability to modify pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git Hub Actions) - Advanced Troubleshooting:
Proven ability to resolve complex system‑level issues
- Advanced PHP
- Chef or similar configuration management tools
- Go programming experience
- Linux virtual machines and Makefile knowledge
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
