Base pay range$85.00/hr - $91.76/hr
PurposeLead a short-term, high-impact engagement to establish the foundational workforce architecture for our client’s growing Artificial Intelligence Division. Over a 120-day period, this consultant-level role will focus on enterprise-level AI/ML workforce planning, the creation of standardized job families and competencies, and market-informed compensation recommendations for a public health sector/governmental organization.
Duties and responsibilities- Conduct AI/ML workforce planning and capacity modeling aligned to future-state organizational needs.
- Design standardized job families and role levels for AI and data science roles.
- Define core and technical competencies for each AI-related job classification.
- Develop job descriptions and career pathways that enable internal growth.
- Benchmark comparable roles across public sector healthcare, government/tech sectors to inform compensation and titling.
- Develop and deliver recommendations for sustainable talent architecture aligned to our client’s strategy.
- Recommend a scalable framework.
- Collaborate with technical leadership to ensure job designs and competencies align with operational and innovation goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated expertise in workforce planning, job architecture, and competency framework design, preferably within large, matrixed, public sector organizations.
- Strong working knowledge of AI/ML roles, skills, and team structures, with the ability to translate technical functions into HR-friendly frameworks.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize stakeholder input, industry research, and organizational context into clear, scalable deliverables (e.g., job families, career ladders, competency models).
- Strong project management skills with a track record of executing complex projects on aggressive timelines.
- Familiarity with public sector constraints and civil service considerations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting frameworks and recommendations.
Master’s degree preferred in HR, Organizational Development, Data Science, or related field.
