Mobile Application Developer

Locations: NYC, Montvale (NJ), Denver, Orlando, Dallas, Atlanta

Schedule: Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite at a nearby office

We’re seeking a Mobile Developer with strong React Native expertise and recent, hands‑on experience with the Expo SDK to join a small, high‑impact engineering team building mobile solutions used by global end-users.

You’ll be joining a team currently driving several AI‑focused initiatives
, working closely with engineering leadership to deliver new features, refactor existing components, and help define the future direction of their mobile applications.

• Build and enhance cross‑platform mobile applications using React Native + Expo SDK
• Refactor and modernize existing mobile features
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers, designers, QA, and business stakeholders
• Present technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Contribute to documentation, SOPs, and development standards
• Research emerging trends in the React Native/Expo ecosystem and bring recommendations
• Support a collaborative, innovation‑focused engineering environment

• Must have: Recent, hands‑on expertise with the Expo SDK
• Strong React Native development experience (current, not outdated)
• Clear, confident communication skills — verbal, written, and presentation
• Ability to explain technical decisions to senior stakeholders
• Experience integrating mobile apps with RESTful APIs and JSON
• Familiarity with native build tools (Xcode, Android Studio, npm/yarn)
• Strong testing, debugging, and performance optimization abilities
• Work samples highly preferred: Git Hub, portfolio, code snippets, Stack Overflow links, etc.

• Hybrid schedule: 2 days/week onsite at the nearest office location
• Open to candidates outside the Tri‑State area, but an in‑person interview in NYC is required (self‑funded)
• After hire, you must report to your closest office twice weekly
• Current team size: 2 developers — this hire will be the third

• The role was recently reopened — prior candidates did not meet the technical bar
• Expect a detailed interview process; some interviews have lasted up to 3 hours
• Strong communication + real Expo/React Native depth are essential for success
