We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Ava Cloud team. The Ava Cloud team is responsible for simplifying the experience to launch, manage, and grow Web3 applications on an Avalanche Subnet. We are looking for a Senior Engineer with expertise in cloud systems. This particular role will be an integral part in launching and maintaining Web3 applications by providing products and services for multi‑tenant cloud based services.

What you will do

• Design and build distributed, scalable and highly performant backend systems to support a new application targeted at web2 developers

• Partner with product teams for new feature development and integration including Avalanche Explorer ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).), Core Wallets (), Web Wallet () and other blockchain applications

• Closely collaborate with the infrastructure team to build and deploy cloud applications

• Work with frontend developers to build an entirely new web application from the ground up

• Lead the team and set best practices for building and maintaining large scale distributed systems

What you will bring

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of general backend development experience

• 3+ years of experience building large scale enterprise systems

• Experience with Golang strongly preferred

• Experience with Typescript/Node.js a plus

• AWS Cloud Stack (Dynamo

DB, KMS, SQS, Lambda, ...) preferred

• Experience with other cloud stacks a bonus

• Crypto experience preferred

Salary Range: $158,000 to $198,000

This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. NYC metro candidates are required to be in office 2-3x/week, with exceptions.
