We are actively seeking an Entry Level Software Engineer with a range of skills and a passion for learning new things who can apply their skills to developing high-quality, real-time embedded software for fielded electronics platforms.

BAE Systems in Greenlawn, NY has recently been awarded new programs and is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other scientific degree with strong software content.

* Strong problem-solving skills that translate to working, maintainable software.

* Able to obtain a Secret clearance. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
* Demonstrated proficiency in a high level software language such as Java, C++, C, or Python
* Coursework or other experience in embedded software development.
* Working knowledge of software tools such as Jira, Bit Bucket, debuggers, containers, etc.

* Experience with Agile Development and Dev Sec Ops

* Experience developing on Windows/Linux Operating Systems

* Experience using git or another version control system
* Familiarity with Unit Testing frameworks

* Active Secret Clearance Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $69439 - $118047

This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
