QE Lead – BDD Architecture

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically hands‑on QE Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in BDD (Behavior Driven Development) architecture
, strong development and automation skills using Type Script and .NET
, and prior experience working in the commissions or incentive compensation domain
.

As a QE Lead, you will define test strategies, implement robust automation frameworks, guide the QA team, and work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality delivery of complex systems.

• Lead QE initiatives for commissions/incentive systems with a focus on BDD‑driven test automation
  .
• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks in Type Script and .NET
  .
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and developers to define acceptance criteria using Gherkin syntax (Given/When/Then).
• Develop and maintain reusable BDD test scenarios and step definitions.
• Drive end‑to‑end test strategy
  , including functional, integration, regression, performance, and data validation testing.
• Define and implement quality gates within CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, or Git Hub Actions
  .
• Mentor and lead a team of QE engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce quality standards.
• Champion best practices in Test‑Driven Development (TDD),
  shift‑left testing
  , and continuous quality improvement.
• Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure timely and high‑quality releases.

12+ years of experience in software testing/automation with at least 3+ years in a lead role.

• Proven experience with BDD frameworks such as Spec Flow, Cucumber, or Gauge

• Strong programming and automation skills in Type Script and .NET (C#).
• Experience working in commissions, payroll, or incentive‑based systems is a must
  .
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tools
  , version control (Git), and test management tools (like Test Rail or Zephyr).
• Hands‑on experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured) and database testing (SQL Server, Oracle).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium for web automation in Type Script.
• Familiarity with Azure

• ISTQB or equivalent certification in test automation or quality engineering.

• Experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter or k6.
• Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence.
