About the Team

The Go To Market Technology (GTMT) organization enables the growth and productivity for Door Dash Go-To-Market teams with reliable data, intelligent workflows, and frictionless experiences that move at the speed of Door Dash. We build systems that streamline business processes to be nimble and effective while serving the needs of our Merchants and Customers.

About the Role

We're looking for Application Engineers to join our Go-To-Market Technology (GTMT) team, where you'll build elegant solutions that power Door Dash's rapid growth. While you'll work with our existing CRM ecosystem, your impact will extend far beyond – you'll architect and develop custom solutions using Door Dash's proprietary infrastructure to solve complex business problems. In short, we’re looking for someone that can flex building in Salesforce and outside of it.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will

• Build applications to be used by internal teams for attracting, selling to and onboarding our merchants

• Develop and define the architecture and tech stack for a business area

• Develop robust APIs and microservices using modern frameworks and AWS services

• Create innovative solutions that extend beyond traditional CRM (e.g. Salesforce) capabilities by leveraging Door Dash's proprietary infrastructure

• Drive architectural decisions that balance business needs, technical excellence, and long-term maintainability

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions

We’re excited about you because you have

• 5+ years of experience building enterprise-grade applications, including deep expertise in Salesforce development using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL—you’re comfortable extending the platform through custom code, not just declarative tools.

• A proven track record in custom application development using modern frameworks, with experience designing and scaling enterprise systems.

• A passion for writing clean, testable, and maintainable code, and for building scalable, resilient systems that support evolving business needs.

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Kotlin, Go, Python, Java, and C++, with the versatility to work across diverse codebases and technology stacks.

• Experience analyzing and improving system efficiency and stability, with hands-on work using SQL/No

SQL databases such as Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Rabbit

MQ.

• A solid understanding of service-oriented architecture, with experience designing and implementing RESTful and gRPC APIs, and working with modern web stacks (HTTP, REST).

• Sound judgment in knowing when to leverage commoditized platforms versus building custom solutions, balancing speed, cost, and flexibility.

• A strong interest in mentoring others and a commitment to driving a culture of technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and collaborative development.

Nice to Have

• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems

• Experience with Mulesoft or other enterprise integration platforms

• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and infrastructure as code

• Background in B2B and B2C Go-To-Market environments and technology (e.g. CPQ, CLM, CTI/telephony, cadencing)

• Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
