What You’ll Do
  • Design and deliver complex technical solutions that leverage the latest technologies (yes AI) to deliver a world‑class customer experience.
  • Support the technical infrastructure that powers over 14,000 small businesses.
  • Architect and own the AWS infrastructure for all the code you launch.
  • Build APIs and services that enable a new form of entrepreneurship empowerment for over 3 million small business owners.
  • Build and integrate with financial‑service technologies for payments, banking, and loans.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and across engineering on the strategic vision for our product roadmap.
  • Contribute to a culture of technical excellence through code and design reviews.
  • Deliver high‑quality, secure, and testable code.
  • Mentor other engineers and contribute to the engineering culture.
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of technical experience building and maintaining core backend systems.
  • Experience defining your infrastructure, deploying your code and monitoring your systems on AWS.
  • You have owned and led projects from planning through delivery and support.
  • You think about performance and trade‑offs constantly.
  • Experience working with data pipelines and you are comfortable connecting systems you build to existing data infrastructure.
  • You have experience with financial‑service APIs such as payment processors or lender origination.
  • Experience as a generalist, working across the stack as needed.
  • A passion for building delightful applications and the systems that support them.
  • Care deeply about the quality of your work while balancing delivery expectations.
  • An obsessive focus on customers and iterative learning.
Ideal
  • Experience with Golang + RoR and delivering performant APIs with these frameworks.
  • Experience as an AWS administrator in a small company.
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies, including ASR and TTS.
  • A personal connection to the trades.
