Senior Java Software Engineer

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Engineer with deep experience in real‑time stream processing, distributed systems, and high‑throughput/low‑latency architectures. You will design, build, and optimize large‑scale data pipelines and services that power mission‑critical applications. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high‑performance environments and enjoys solving complex distributed‑system challenges.

• Design and implement real‑time stream processing applications using Kafka and preferably Flink (Spark Streaming experience also valuable).
• Build scalable, fault‑tolerant microservices and data pipelines using Java and Apache Spark.
• Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker, running on AWS EKS and AWS Fargate.
• Architect and optimize high‑throughput, low‑latency systems for real‑time data ingestion and processing.
• Work with AWS EMR for large‑scale batch processing workloads.
• Design and maintain distributed storage solutions using Cassandra (preferably Cassandra on AWS).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for reliable, repeatable deployments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define system requirements, performance goals, and SLAs.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune distributed systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

• Strong proficiency in Java and experience with Spark (batch or streaming).
• Hands‑on experience with Kafka for real‑time data streaming.
• Experience with stream processing frameworks such as Apache Flink (preferred) or Spark Streaming.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and low‑latency system design.
• Expertise with Docker and container orchestration on AWS EKS or Fargate.
• Experience with AWS EMR for batch processing.
• Strong knowledge of Cassandra, including data modeling and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Dev Ops practices.
• Familiarity with high‑throughput, high‑availability architectures.

• Experience with Sparc (as a platform or architecture).
• Exposure to additional AWS services (Lambda, Kinesis, Dynamo
  
  DB, etc.).
• Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry).
• Experience with performance benchmarking and load testing.
