As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer, you partner directly with customers to design and ship solutions on Miro. You operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and work across multiple teams and codebases. This is a great opportunity to pioneer a new function at Miro and be part of its shaping and success. The role can be fully remote or based out of one of Miro’s US hubs in Austin, New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles, but will require travel to our customers’ location and Miro’s European offices.

• Engage with customers to understand goals and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy full‑stack features and integrations on Miro.
• Create scalable distributed services and APIs that are reliable and secure.
• Prototype quickly, iterate with feedback, and drive projects to production.
• Collaborate across product, design, professional services and engineering.
• Establish best practices, documentation, and handoffs for long‑term ownership.
• Measure impact, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve solutions.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven experience working closely with customers to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, systems).
• Proven track record of applying platform thinking and using evolutionary architecture patterns to deliver for both short‑term and long‑term needs.
• Experience building distributed systems at scale.
• Full‑stack development experience (frontend, backend, APIs, data).
• Proficiency with AI coding tools to increase velocity and quality.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Background in SaaS, collaboration tools, or workflow platforms.
• Exposure to security, compliance, and enterprise deployment patterns.
• Track record in forward‑deployed, solutions engineering, or professional services roles.

Los Angeles salary range: $144—$215.

San Francisco salary range: $164—$246.

New York salary range: $156—$235.
