Knot’s mission is to empower consumers and businesses alike with connected merchant and banking experiences. Knot is like “Plaid for merchant connectivity.” We are building the platform connecting merchants to the many applications that consumers and businesses interact with everyday. Our flagship Card Switcher product allows consumers to instantly update & manage their cards on file with online merchant accounts (e.g. Netflix or Pay Pal), while newer products like Transaction Link support the retrieval of item-level transaction data.

Founded in 2021, Knot was founded by two brothers and Thiel Fellows - Rory and Kieran O’Reilly - and today powers connected online payment experiences for hundreds of thousands of consumers. Companies like American Express, Pay Pal, Current, BILT, Step, and more choose to embed Knot’s SDK in their apps to power best-in-class experiences for their customers.

• Work alongside a team to build all user‑facing surfaces across Knot's products, including the consumer‑facing web app, , , and other various demo apps.

• Alongside the product team, lead the design direction for and extensively develop  into a best‑in‑class dashboard experience.

• Improve the components and design systems that form the foundation of Knot's frontends with an eye towards ensuring they are prepared for AI‑native development.

• Foster a culture of deep care for industry‑leading user experience.

• You are an engineer, but a designer/artist at heart
  . You love visuals and obsess over every detail of what you build. You are comfortable with the components of a modern web development stack:
  React, Tailwind, UI Components (e.g. ShadCN), Figma, AI‑native tools (e.g. Cursor, v0, etc.).

• You frequently build your own projects in your free time and consistently use new/relevant technologies in your work. You can build software in less than half the time it would take most engineers, while maintaining an equal level of quality, and you can do so with minimal product requirements or clear design direction.
