Software Developer Intern - Summer ; DV Equities

DV Trading is a proprietary trading firm seeking a Summer 2027 intern for its equities desk to develop components of a low-latency trading platform. You will work on either C++ low-latency system components or Python data/backtesting tooling, gaining hands‑on experience alongside experienced developers and traders in a fast‑paced financial technology environment.

• Design, develop, and maintain low-latency trading system components using C++ or build data analysis and backtesting tools in Python based on your primary language
• Work with senior traders, quantitative researchers, and software developers to understand the full trading technology stack
• Optimize and refactor existing code for performance and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions, contributing ideas and learning industry best practices
• Assist in developing exchange connectivity and research pipeline components

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with expected graduation in 2027 or 2028
• Strong proficiency in either C++ or Python with some exposure to the other language
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and basic networking concepts
• Detail-oriented work ethic with eagerness to learn quickly and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Prior internship or project experience in low-latency systems, trading, or large-scale data processing
• Genuine interest in algorithmic trading and financial technology
