** About the Team:
** The Ecommerce Platform Team is a horizontal team that builds and owns the Checkout and  My Trips  experiences within Capital One Travel. We normalize the checkout experience across all product and card teams — flights, hotels, rental cars, vacation rentals, activities and cruises — with a focus on making checkout consistent, reliable, and a positive experience for users to utilize one of the premier benefits of their credit card.

You will play a central role in unifying the checkout experience across travel, designing and building a robust framework that accommodates the unique requirements of each product while presenting a cohesive experience to customers.  We are looking for a passionate engineering manager, with significant experience building large-scale, component-driven web applications. Equally important are strong communication and collaboration skills — this role requires partnering closely with product and card teams to understand their needs, drive alignment on shared patterns, and earn buy-in as we converge on a unified checkout platform.

* What You’ll Do:

*** Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company
* Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code
* Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
* Lead teams utilizing programming languages like Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript and Type Script, Open Source RDBMS and No

SQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services
* Lead multiple Agile engineering teams or programs, providing strategic direction and ensuring delivery of large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
* Partner with product, architecture, and platform leaders to define multi-year technology roadmaps and investment priorities
* Develop and manage Lead Engineers and leads, building succession plans and scaling leadership capability across teams
* Drive alignment between engineering execution and enterprise goals, influencing portfolio-level decisions and trade-offs
* Drive end-to-end design and implementation of large-scale, distributed, or cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements

* Basic Qualifications:

*** Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering)
* At least 6 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
* At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP,…
