Build the internal tools and data systems that let a small team invest with the leverage of a much larger one.
About the roleEngineering is core to how LOTUS operates. You will design and build the data pipelines, research tooling and AI systems our investment team relies on every day — turning unstructured information into an edge. This is a high-ownership role with a direct line to the people using what you build.
What you'll do- Design, build and operate data pipelines and internal research applications.
- Integrate large language models and AI systems into practical investing workflows.
- Partner directly with the investment team to translate needs into tools.
- Own systems end to end, from prototype through production reliability.
- 3+ years building production software, ideally with data‑intensive systems.
- Fluency in a modern backend language and comfort across the full stack.
- Hands‑on experience with LLMs or applied machine learning is a strong plus.
- A bias toward shipping and a high bar for quality.
