Senior KDB Developer

Salary: $92, per year

• Extensive hands-on experience engineering with KDB+/Q.
• Strong background developing real-time data-processing systems, including in low-latency environments.
• Experience in financial services and with large-scale market, trading, transactional, or time-series datasets.
• Strong Linux/Unix skills and working knowledge of Python or Java.
• Solid understanding of time-series architecture and streaming data.
• Ability to collaborate directly with technical and front-office stakeholders.
• Ability to work onsite in New York City three days per week.
• Preferred: experience in electronic or algorithmic trading, equities, market microstructure, AWS, or authentication and entitlements.

• Design and develop low-latency KDB+/Q platforms for real-time financial data.
• Build and optimize streaming pipelines for market, ticker, order, and execution data.
• Develop scalable ticker plant, RDB, and HDB architectures.
• Create time-series models and high-performance query frameworks.
• Improve platform latency, throughput, reliability, and query performance.
• Develop APIs and reusable components for trading and analytics applications.
• Implement monitoring and automated data-quality controls.
• Investigate and resolve complex real-time data and production issues.

We are a global financial-services organization seeking a Senior KDB Developer for our technology organization, which supports real-time Equities data and analytics. In this hands-on role, you will help engineer high-performance platforms that process substantial volumes of real-time and historical financial data. You will work closely with our trading, quantitative, engineering, QA, and production teams.
