Backend Developer, Cloud Engineer - Software, AWS
Location: New York
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable cloud-native backend systems.
You will work with Type Script, Node.js, AWS, CI/CD automation, and distributed architectures. We are looking for someone who can see the full system – from APIs and cloud infrastructure to data storage, deployment, and reliability.
Requirements:- 7+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Hands-on experience building scalable, event-driven APIs and distributed systems
- Strong AWS experience with Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS/Aurora, SQS/SNS, and Event Bridge
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code: AWS CDK, Terraform, or Cloud Formation
- Experience with Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, and CI/CD automation
- Understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and monitoring
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Practical use of AI tools in the development workflow
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher
- Design and build reliable backend services and APIs using Type Script and Node.js
- Develop and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure and integrations
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and engineering standards
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and help break down complex initiatives into clear implementation tasks
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders on technical decisions
- Use AI tools to improve coding, documentation, debugging, and test creation
Skills:
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices
- Experience with observability tools such as Cloud Watch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or Open Telemetry
- Experience mentoring engineers or contributing to technical leadership
