The Work We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead and contribute to the development of sophisticated software solutions supporting mission-critical programs. You’ll have the opportunity to influence technical direction, lead a team to solve complex problems, and help shape future capabilities and product  this role, you may:

Lead, plan, and coordinate software development activities across the full software development lifecycle.

Analyze requirements and develop preliminary and detailed software designs.

Design, develop, integrate, test, debug, and maintain safety-critical software applications.

Apply software engineering standards, processes, procedures, and tools to deliver reliable solutions.

Analyze and resolve complex technical issues involving software requirements, architecture, interfaces, data, and system performance.

Develop technical documentation, operating instructions, and software artifacts.

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, program leadership, customers, and stakeholders.

Provide technical leadership and innovative contributions to new business opportunities and future product capabilities.

Own technical, cost, and schedule execution for software development efforts.

Basic Qualifications Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree with 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree

Demonstrated experience leading a software engineering team or project through multiple phases of the software development lifecycle (requirements, architecture, design, implementation, test, and release).Experience planning, estimating, and coordinating technical work packages, including tracking schedule, scope, and technical risk.
