It takes more than a decade and over $2 billion to bring a new drug to market. Alchemi builds AI that helps drug development teams move faster, and we already work with some of the largest pharma companies and CROs in the world.

We're a small, senior engineering team, and we plan to stay that way. Writing code is no longer the constraint. Judgement is. You'll own architecture and delivery across our core platform, and you'll be measured on the quality of the systems you design and the mistakes you prevent, not on lines of code.

• Design judgement earned the hard way. You can explain why a design is wrong, not just that it feels wrong.

• A track record of systems that stayed maintainable, not just shipped.

• Fluency with agentic development: specs first, agents as a force multiplier, with a verification loop.

• Range across backend, front-end and Dev Ops, with Python at the centre.

• Low ego. You listen first and work toward consensus.

• If your value is measured in lines of code.

Small team, low process, high trust. Two-week release cadence, design specs reviewed carefully, and an active resistance to ticket sprawl. Based in New York City, with daily overlap across a team that spans Pacific Time to Western Europe.

Our goal is to cut years off clinical development timelines. Alchemi already supports more than 3,500 studies a year for the top development teams in pharma. We're a small team of experts. We keep talent density high and work closely across every part of the product, from first idea to deployment.
