Senior Software Engineer

Avantos is building the industry’s first AI-native operating system for financial services, redefining how firms onboard clients, deliver advice, and manage core servicing workflows. We’re a product-led team composed of founders and leaders from Wharton, MIT, top design programs, and prior unicorn SaaS companies.

Tech Stack

You will play a large part in shaping our AI tech stack. We’re looking for someone opinionated about AI tooling with an idea of what good looks like. The ideal candidate would have experience in the following:

• Prompt engineering
• Model evaluation and testing
• Building RAG-based systems
• Data pipeline design
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience in the financial services industry

Over the course of your work, you could end up working on other backend systems as well. Some example projects include:

• Provisioning and evaluating models for a new AI feature using AWS Bedrock
• Building an end-to-end pipeline that ingests customer-client interactions (e.g. call transcripts), and automatically kicks off workflows based on the contents

• 10-minute async coding challenge
• Hiring manager chat and 20-minute coding challenge
• 45-minute Coding Challenge w/ another Engineer from the AI team
• System Design Interview
• Chat w/ a Product Manager
