Reports to: Aquatics Manager

Status: Part-time, hourly

Location: South Westchester, New York

As a swim instructor, you will teach students of all ages in accordance with the British Swim School aquatics program. Even if you are not an expert swim instructor, that’s ok! Don’t worry–we’ll train you! You do not need a competitive swimming background or prior experience teaching swim lessons.

• Teach water‑survival and learn‑to‑swim classes to students of all ages. We start as young as 3 months!
• Ideally, you understand all four swimming strokes and an overall appreciation for the water
• Love working with children and seeing them progress
• Effectively communicate with children, customers and employees
• You need to be upbeat and ready to enjoy having fun ing fun is mandatory
• Greet parents and check in students to their class
• This is a year‑round position, and we are looking for longer‑term employees. This is not a summer job
• Attend staff meetings and ongoing training/coaching as requested by Aquatics Manager
• Weekday availability in the afternoons and evenings, and mornings on the weekend
• Reliable transportation to any of our locations in South of Westchester area

• Enthusiastic personality
• Experience working with children
• Swimming experience: 1‑2 years (preferred)
• Customer service skills: 1 year (preferred)
• Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR/AED Certifications (preferred)

• Potential shifts will occur mostly in the afternoons on Weekdays and in the mornings on Weekends
• Shifts are often 4 to 6 hours in length
