Summary
This position is located in the Sports & Fitness department of the Business Recreation Division. This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resilience and well-being of Soldiers and Families.
Duties- Assist in the planning markets and conducts an ongoing program to provide conditioning programs for facility users.
- Instructs in the proper conditioning and training for aerobic and muscular fitness, and flexibility.
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3.
- This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
- An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
- Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.
- Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and/or unique events.
- Experience monitoring/executing/managing a basic physical fitness program, AND
- Currently have (or will obtain before projected date of employment, 11/6/2025 or later) a Fitness or Personal Trainer Certificate.
- This job is open to candidates who are U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals that have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation and reside within the Local Commuting Area (defined as 100-mile radius) of Fort Drum, NY.
