Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletically injured student-athletes, in conjunction with appropriate medical personnel
- Primary assistant to the Head Athletic Trainer
- Primary sports responsibilities include attending practices, games, travel, and emergency preparation.
- Complete comprehensive and confidential record keeping, including injury reports, daily treatment logs, pre-participation histories and physicals, documentation or personal information
- Daily maintenance and organization of the athletic training facilities
- Maintain an appropriate certification and licensure with NATABOC and State of New York
- Administrative duties including, but not limited to, assisting with insurance paperwork/claims and processing NCAA paperwork
Performs a variety of functions in the care, prevention, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for student-athletes through an existing Sports Medicine program. Specific responsibilities include coordination of medical care for assigned sport.
Goals/ObjectivesThe individual must be of high moral character and act in an ethical manner at all times. It is expected that any violation of NCAA rules or regulations will be reported to the Director of Athletics for review. Further, an employee who is found in violation of NCAA regulations shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures.
