Delivery Specialist

Overview

The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position may collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Base pay range: $15.50/hr - $21.50/hr the actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance or premiums paid per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable.

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and perform daily inspections prior to operation.
• Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and monies collected secure at all times.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and complete driver return slips.
• Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management; report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and secure the vehicle at the end of the day; clock in/out per policy.
• Assist with other duties as assigned, including customer service, stocking, merchandising, and errands; may assist customers as a cashier when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences; strong interpersonal communication skills; ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations; driving record must meet the company’s standard (14/18-point system); must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet driving eligibility requirements.
• Desired: Familiarity with automotive parts; ability to operate other light store equipment; multilingual (Spanish highly desired).
