Division:
Department of Facilities Planning, Construction, and Management (FPCM) – Office of Facilities Maintenance, Operation, and Emergency Response.
Location:
Central Office.
Employment type:
Part‑time (up to 35 hours per week).
Reports to the Facility Procurement Manager and serves as central point of contact for all matters related to vehicle fleet. Responsible for ensuring vehicles are available, maintained, and operated safely.
Responsibilities- Schedule maintenance, coordinate repairs, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and other fleet expenses.
- Track fleet usage, generate reports, and analyze data to identify improvement areas.
- Communicate with drivers, mechanics, and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain records of vehicle dispatch, usage logs, and safety audits.
- Disseminate vehicle and safety information to drivers; provide training on university driving rules.
- Ensure compliance with vehicle usage policies by reviewing campus driving records.
- May supervise staff assigned to fleet operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; plus 5 years of full‑time administrative experience maintaining vehicle usage and maintenance schedules.
- Valid driver’s license in the State of New York;
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) may be required for certain assignments.
- Regular travel to university facilities, regulatory offices, fleet parts and service vendors, and campus auto shops.
- Hybrid work schedule may be required.
New hire rate: $55,000.00. Incumbent minimum rate: $63,220.00 (first 24 months salary suppression 13%).
