$17/hr this position offers a $1,000 sign‑on bonus—$500 paid after 90 days of employment and an additional $500 after 6 months of continuous employment.

We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion, based on your salary. Staff begins accruing PTO immediately for a total of up to 30 days earned in the first year. We offer employees an educational benefit. This money is available for tuition loan reimbursement, tuition costs, and textbooks.

Transports donations of but not limited to household goods, furniture, clothing, and related items as needed; including supplying HW thrift shops with supplies. Operate vehicles as required to facilitate loading, unloading, and transport of donated goods. Effectively inspect donations for salability.

• Abide by all policies and procedures in the Thrift P&P manual and HW Employee manual.
• Loads/Unloads furniture, clothing, housewares and related items on and off the trucks, ensuring safe arrival of goods.
• Work with the dispatcher to fulfill the needs of the PDC and Thrift Shops.
• Ensure proper care to vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain a clean NYS driver’s license.
• Reporting accidents.
• Perform miscellaneous jobs.
• Maintenance of transportation vehicles including supplies and tools.
