Captain/Mastertojoinourteam.

Theprimaryresponsibilityandauthorityfortheexecutionofallvesselassignmentsincluding,butnotlimitedto,planningthemostefficientandsafeoperationofthevesselanditscrew,implementingtheoperatingplaninacost-effective manner,andevaluatingandreportingtheresults.

Itistheresponsibilityofallmasters toensurecompliancewithpoliciesandproceduresandtomeetallrequirementsinthe

Safety Management System Manual (SMS) andtoproperlydocument.

Masterswillhavethespecificobligationtoensurethatallpersonnelassignedtovesselsareprovidedwithinformation,instructions,anddirectionsnecessaryformeetingtheprogramobjectivesofsafety,environmental protection,andqualityservicethroughknowledgeableandcompetentexecutionofassignedtasks.

• Ensuresafenavigationofthevesselatalltimes.
• Conductrequireddrills,training,safety meetings,andmaintainsrecordsofsuch,percompanypolicy.
• Conductandensurescompliancewithvesselmaintenanceandinspectionrequirementsasprescribedbythecompany.
• Inspectvesseltoensureconformancewithsafetystandardsandmaritimeregulations.
• Workcloselywithcustomers,pilots,andappropriategovernmentagenciestoensuretheproperperformanceofthejob.
• Ensurepromptandaccuratereportingofallequipmentfailures,illnesses,incidents,accidentsanddamages.
• Maintaincurrentknowledgeofallmaritimelaws.
• Directandsupervisecrewmembersinsafeandproductiveoperationofthevessel,itsmachineryandequipment.
• Holdthecrewaccountablefortheiradherencetomaritimelaw,companypoliciesandprocedures,andtheirindividualperformance/productivity.
• Evaluateallcrewmembersinaccordancewith Companypolicyandtakeactionasnecessary.

• Thoroughknowledgeofvesselhandlingandnavigationalskillscommensuratewithoperatingassignments.
• Workingknowledgeofpropulsion,auxiliaryanddeckmachinery.
• Mustpossessstrongwrittenandoralcommunicativeskills.
• Mustbeabletoeconomicallysuperviseallaspectsoftheoperationofthevessel,itscargoandcrew.
• Mustbeabletoworkindependentlyandwithoutdirectsupervision.
• Abilitytowithstandexposuretoallweatherconditions(rain,ice,snow,heat,wind,heavyseas,etc.)
• Abilitytoadapttoavarietyofworkschedulesandhoursincludingweekends,holidays,andnights.
  
  Willingtotakecallouts.

• Mustpossessandmaintaina National Master /mate
  200/500inland,NClicense,Masterof Towing,STCW,Radar Endorsement,MMC,andTWIC.
• 3to5years'experienceasa
  
  Masteror Operating Mateontowingvessels .
• Validstatedriver'slicense.

Thecompensationrangeforthisroleis $115,000-$135,000.
