Location: Village of East Syracuse
We are seeking a trailer operation and freight handling specialist responsible for
operating tractor-trailer combinations, performing safety inspections, and securing freight using various equipment.
Responsibilities include hooking/unhooking trailers, managing freight with forklifts and manual tools, and verifying documentation.
Additional duties involve customer service, collecting freight charges, complying with hazardous material regulations, and following dispatch instructions.
Qualified candidates must hold a Class A CDL or CLP
, have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record, and meet DOT requirements.
Skills required include basic math, communication, physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and ability to work independently or in a team.
Working conditions involve driving in varied weather and exposure to noise, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials.
All duties must align with legal and company policies.
