Purpose:

At DASI, the role of the Material Handler is to ensure that warehouse materials are adequately packaged/preserved to meet Customer and/or DASI delivery requirements.

• Perform tasks associated with the receipt, storage, inventory cycle count and shipment of product, while meeting productivity, quality, safety, business conduct and attendance expectations.
• Comply with policies, guidelines and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, OSHA and Hazardous Material requirements in the storage, handling and movement of product.
• Report inventory discrepancies of his/her findings or any inventory related variance to their lead/supervisor.
• Stocking of all incoming shipping and warehouse supplies.
• Functions may include, but are not limited to unloading, put-away, sorting, labelling, picking, packing, replenishing, cycle count auditing, shipping, making boxes, etc.
• Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
• Responsible for other special projects or duties as assigned.

• Meet productivity, quality, safety, and attendance requirements, including overtime as required.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Demonstrates pride in own work.
• Ability to perform light to moderate lifting.
• Be able to operate warehouse vehicles and material handling equipment.
• Can work in a team environment.

Experience and qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED
  - Required.
• Experience with domestic and international regulations is a plus.
• Knowledge of carrier computer systems such as Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, etc is a plus.
• Haz Mat training is a plus.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and associated software (i.e., inventory management, and MS Office)
• Forklift experience.
