Evening Receptionist Part-time

First impressions matter. As a Part-time Receptionist you play a pivotal role in setting the tone for every interaction. You are the first face and first conversation visitors to The Farndon Unit in Newark will experience. What you will be doing:

In this exciting role at The Farndon Unit, a site which provides services across low secure, rehabilitation and acute inpatient settings for women with Mental Health and personality disorder diagnoses. , each day brings different challenges and experiences. Working 14.87 hours per week along side the reception team your key responsibilities will be welcoming all visitors in a friendly manner, co-ordinating the office diary for meetings and events and efficiently handling telephone calls, emails and post.

Ensuring the safety and security of service users, staff and visitors is a top priority. You’ll oversee visitor sign ins, conduct security checks and manage the distribution of keys and security badges.

• Welcoming all visitors in a friendly manner and ensuring the sign the visitor book
• Maintaining the upkeep of the reception area & meeting rooms are presentable
• Managing the office diary for meetings, events, training days and therapy sessions
• Ensuring confidentially and security to the service
• Receiving and dealing with telephone calls, emails and post
• Ad hoc administration tasks
• Ensuring all appropriate leaflets and brochures are on display
• Manage deliveries

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience
• Computer skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be professional, confident and diplomatic
• GCSE English Language Grade C or above
• Be efficient and enthusiastic
• Awareness of understanding confidentiality and security
• Ability work alongside a team and independently
• Must be welcoming and self-motivated

The Farndon Unit is a purpose-built hospital which provides services across low secure, rehabilitation and acute inpatient settings for women with Mental Health and personality disorder diagnoses.

Our combination of low secure wards and a rehabilitation ward area (also within the low secure perimeter) provide a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation prior to discharge. Our on-site facilities include large and attractive en-suite bedrooms, disabled facilities, secure courtyard and garden, patient café, gym, salon, and activity hall.
