the North West
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
Are you an experienced motor vehicle or HGV professional looking to share your expertise with the next generation of technicians?
About the Role
As a Motor Vehicle & HGV Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging, practical teaching that helps learners build the technical skills and underpinning knowledge they need to progress into the automotive and transport industries. Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering practical and theory-based lessons in motor vehicle and HGV maintenance and repair.

Demonstrating industry-standard techniques and safe working practices in a workshop setting.

Assessing learner work and providing feedback that supports progression.

Preparing learners for practical assessments and industry-recognised qualifications.

Maintaining accurate records of learner attendance, progress and achievement.

Essential:
Significant industry experience in motor vehicle and/or HGV maintenance and repair

A relevant technical qualification in motor vehicle or HGV engineering

Strong communication skills and the ability to engage learners of varying abilities

Desirable (but not essential):
A teaching qualification (such as a PGCE, DET or PTLLS)

Previous experience teaching or mentoring in a workshop or training environment

A full driving licence, with HGV licence an advantage
