Location: Newark on Trent
Are you an experienced BEMS service engineer or BEMS commissioning engineer?
We're on the lookout for an ambitious, customer-focused BEMS service engineer. Preferably you'll live in or around Leeds for travel to local sites.
- Experience in a similar BEMS service role (preferably 3+ years).
- Familiarity with Schneider systems.
- Strong working knowledge of building systems, HVAC principles, electrical systems and control strategies.
- Ability to configure and programme BEMS components, such as sensors, controllers and software interfaces.
- Familiarity with communication protocols used in BEMS, such as BACnet, Modbus, Lon Works and Ethernet/IP.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in relation to diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Organised approach to work with strong communication skills.
- A collaborative, ‘team player’ attitude.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Delivering excellent customer service.
- Conducting thorough site inspections and building system assessments, including HVAC, lighting and control systems to identify opportunities for BEMS integration and optimisation.
- Collaborating with project managers and clients to define project scope, objectives and requirements for BEMS installation and commissioning.
- Developing and implementing commissioning plans, procedures and schedules for BEMS projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Configuring and programming BEMS hardware and software components, including sensors, controllers, user interfaces and communication protocols, to enable seamless integration and data exchange.
- Performing functional testing of BEMS systems to validate proper operation and identify issues.
- Troubleshooting technical challenges during commissioning and post-installation phases.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues, refine system configurations and optimise BEMS performance based on real-time data analysis.
- Providing technical training and support to clients and end users on BEMS operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Generating comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test reports, system documentation, user manuals and as-built drawings.
- Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in building automation, energy management and sustainability.
- Enhancing processes and contributing to BEMS capability advancements.
