Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm

Pay: £13.19 per hour (increasing to £14.35 upon permanent employment, then progressing onto a structured salary pathway)

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Recruitment Pro is recruiting Steel Operatives to join a well‑established steel processing site based in Newark. This role offers long‑term stability, excellent training opportunities and a clear salary progression structure once permanent. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling steel arriving from the docks, cutting materials using saws and preparing orders for dispatch. This is a hands‑on, physical role suited to someone who enjoys practical work and learning new skills.

• Unloading and handling steel delivered from the docks
• Picking parts ready for dispatch
• Cutting steel to required sizes using industrial saws
• Using an overhead crane
• Preparing and organising materials for outgoing shipments
• Loading shipments
• Working safely and following all site procedures
• Maintaining a clean and organised working area
• Supporting any additional warehouse or yard duties as required

• Driving licence essential (due to the location of the site)
• Previous experience in a labouring, warehouse, factory or steel/metalwork environment is desirable but not essential
• Experience using OHC
• Willingness to learn and skill up on cutting equipment
• Good level of physical fitnessi>
• Reliable, hard‑working and able to work as part of a team

• £13.19 per hour starting pay
• Increase to £14.35 per hour upon going permanent
