DAY SHIFT
Are you an experienced Plater with a strong background in structural steel? We're recruiting for a busy, well‑established engineering and fabrication facility producing large‑scale infrastructure steelwork for major UK projects. This is a full‑time, workshop‑based role with consistent hours, long‑term stability, and plenty of overtime for those who want it.
Key Responsibilities- Full plating role working on heavy structural steel
- Reading & working from complex technical drawings
- Using fabrication machinery (press brake, guillotine etc.)
- Marking out, cutting & fabricating heavy‑gauge steel
- Working with mild steel from 10mm-100mm+
- Producing bespoke and high‑quality components
- Proven experience in the structural steel industry
- Ability to confidently read technical drawings
- Heavy gauge plating experience
- Strong attention to detail & commitment to quality
Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16:00
Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours
Plenty of overtime available
